What is the aim of this course?
The aim of this course is to increase the effectiveness of consumer organisations by providing them with expertise in EU consumer law.
The course will provide participants with an understanding of the legal and other instruments used at European level to ensure the protection of consumer rights.
The topics covered are introduced and explored by speakers from academia, consumer organisations and the European Commission.

In an attempt to have participants with a similar level of experience, we ask that in deciding whether to apply for this course or who to send on the course, that you carefully read the participant profile below to see whether the course matches your needs. This course will be targeted at participants who are:
- Recently appointed staff members (lawyers and non-lawyers)
- Staff members already dealing with consumer advice with some basic work experience but lacking formal training on Consumer law
- people looking to attain a basic understanding of the legal and other instruments used at European level to ensure the protection of consumer rights
